International students are encouraged to apply using the Common Application.
Goucher has adopted a test-optional admissions process. This means submitting scores for the SAT/ACT is optional when applying for admission. We leave it up to you to choose if you would like your scores to be considered as part of your application.

Applicants whose first language is not English are required to demonstrate language proficiency with recommended test scores of TOEFL (80ibt), IELTS (6.5), PTE (53), or Duolingo (105).
Students who have received a diploma or certificate from a secondary/high school where English is the primary language of instruction are exempted from this requirement.
International Transfer students who have attended or who are currently attending a
U.S. post-secondary institution must submit official transcripts from all institutions.
Students who have completed post-secondary academic coursework outside of the United
States at a non U.S. accredited institution must submit an official course-by-course
transcript evaluation from an organization that is a current member of the National
Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). A member list is available
on the NACES website. The evaluation must be sent to the Admissions Office directly or emailed to Admissions@cjpk.net.
SpanTran is our recommended international transcript evaluation service. They have
created a custom application for Goucher College that will make sure you select the right kind of evaluation at a discounted rate.

*Transfer students who have completed less than 30 college-level academic credits (as determined by Goucher College) are required to submit an official final high school transcript as part of the review process.
Goucher has adopted a test-optional program, where submitting scores for the SAT/ACT with writing is optional when applying for admission.
Goucher allows students to submit screenshots or PDF score reports downloaded from the College Board or ACT website. If submitting a screenshot, it must include your name, test date, and all score values. Test scores can be uploaded directly into the Admissions & Financial Aid Status Portal to which you will be granted access after you submit your application.
If Goucher is one of your top choices, consider applying Early Action, a non-binding entrance plan.

Additional financial documents and a copy of the information page of your passport will be required for students applying for an F-1 student visa. These can be submitted at the time of application.
In addition to recognizing the rigor of the IB curriculum in the admissions review process, Goucher will grant credit for examination scores of at least 5 in higher-level subject areas. Enrolling students will be placed in courses at the discretion of each department.
Goucher also recognizes academic work completed through such programs as the General Certificate of Education A-level, French Baccalaureate, and German Abitur for advanced credit.
